Elizabeth I (7 September 1533 – 24 March 1603) expresses friendship and agrees to the request of Henri IV (13 December 1553 – 14 May 1610) to allow his ambassador a passport to remain for two months. Likely written during the war of England, France and the Dutch Republic with Spain when Elizabeth and Henri IV exchanged pledges of mutual support in 1596. See also images 1129437 and 1129439.
