Wright's New Improved Terrestrial Globe, on which the latitudes and longitudes of places are carefully laid down and all the new discoveries made by the late Capt. [c. 1790] London, [1790?] Source/Shelfmark: Maps G.26 Unusual fitting in brass with a ball on the top of a pillar on a moveable arm to represent the sun, with a floating horizon and meridian, and with circles to represent the boundaries of light, darkness and twilight. Underneath the base is engraved an inscription dated 1794, added by the first owner. Physical Description: 1 globe; 23 cm in diameter.
