The photo shows Moroccan soldiers of the Spanish Foreign Legion with a German Junkers Ju 52 transport aircraft with the paintwork of the German Condor Legion. The soldiers were to fly from Tetouan, Spanish-Morocco, Africa, to the Spanish mainland in the summer of 1936. On the right at the top, the on-board weapon (MG 34) against enemy fighters. After the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War on July 27, 1936, Germany provided military assistance to General Franco (Operation Feuerzeauber).
