Alcide Cervi, father of the seven brothers brutally killed by the Nazis, narrates in the film the main moments of his life: the activity of a peasant breadwinner struggling with the daily problems of work in the countryside during fascism, the education given to children, the innovations introduced in agricultural activity, the war, the fight against Nazi-Fascism, the massacre of the seven children, the recovery of the post-war period despite the grief and the pain.
Introduced by a presentation by Ferruccio Parri, Father Cervi stands out in the film with all his strength, vitality and moral stature that make him an extraordinary figure of contemporary Italy.
