The extraordinary adventure of a child (colour litho)

A child's extraordinary adventure. The little 4-year-old Francois Cussey was traveling with his mother and little brother on the fast Strasbourg-Ventimiglia. While the train, launched at 100 per hour, was about to enter a tunnel, between Montbeliard and Baume-les-Dames, the car door opened wide; the child who was near the door fell into the void. The mother pulled the alarm signal; the convoy stops. By a miracle, Francois had done nothing. Getting up alone and looking for the shoes that had flown away from him, he started running to reach the train. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 29 January 1956.
