The works of Hercules (Heracles). In Roman and Greek mythology, Hercules is a hero: still a child he chokes two snakes with bare hands in his bed and put his strength at the service of the unfortunate, abbeats the lion of Nemee with his club, kills the Hydra of Lerne, tames the Cretan bull of Minos, makes money steals to the Greeks, massacres Diomede, cleans the Uries of Augias, defeated Geryon the giant, poisoned the centaur Nessus (Nessos) who had taken his wife Dejanire and died on Mount Oeta in the arms of his friend Philoctete to whom he gave his bow and arrows.
