U.S helicopter pilot Hugh Thompson (2nd L) and door gunner Lawrence Colburn (L) meet March 15, Pham Thi Thuan, 60, survivor of the infamous Vietnam War massacre in My Lai village. About 500 Vietnamese, mostly women, children and the elderly, were indiscriminately killed by U.S. troops at the South Vietnam hamlet of My Lai on March 16,1968. Thompson and Colburn, who helped save defenceless civilians in the massacre, will be attending activities to commemorate its 30th year on March 16. VIETNAM MASSACRE
