This intersection was the end of the line for horsecars and trolleys because the grade from here to the waterfront was too steep for the horses. In the foreground is a carter's dray and, at the extreme right, an omnibus. The intersection, with horse-drawn carts, carriages and wagon on street. People on sidewalks, street and trolleys.
