Bridgeman Images is proud to be appointed by the Lucian Freud Archive (LFA) to administer and license the copyright and reproduction rights in Lucian Freud's artwork
The Lucian Freud Archive (LFA), set up by the artist and his representatives before his death in 2011, has appointed Bridgeman to administer and license his copyright.
The LFA has also placed its archive of photography of the artist's work with Bridgeman for licensing. This contains exceptional quality high resolution digital photography taken in recent years to produce a complete record of the artist's work. Lucian Freud joins a distinguished list of artists and artists' estates to have appointed the Bridgeman Artists' Copyright Service (BACS). BACS represents hundreds of artists and estates, including Sir Sidney Nolan (1917-92), Alberto Giacometti (1901-66), Augustus John (1878-1961) Percy Wyndham Lewis (1882-1957) and Cyril Power (1874-1951).

When I started the Artists Collecting Society in 2006 to collect Artists' Resale Right Lucian Freud was one of the first artists to join and we are proud to have the opportunity to continue that association".
