Salisbury Museum

Collection Overview

Located in the Grade I listed King’s House, opposite Salisbury Cathedral, The Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum is home to a collection of art and artefacts relating to Salisbury and South Wiltshire. Pictures of Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral and masterpieces of early English Gothic architecture, dominate the collection and several magnificent watercolours by Joseph Malord Turner, of both of these monuments, exemplify both Turner’s mastery in the evocation of light and the beauty of the surrounding area.
