This little picture shows the street party tea organised in Pilgrim Street, Newcastle to celebrate the end of the First World War (1914-1918). John Potts was a Newcastle accountant who painted w/cs in his spare time. He showed many watercolours at Newcastle and Gateshead exhibitions from 1883 to 1931.
